SUMMARY:

The present research, entitled Curriculum reformulation policies for/in high school:
configurations and meanings of formative itineraries from the law 13.415/2017 in full-time
schools in the countryside of Pernambuco, aimed to analyze configurations and meanings of
curricular policies from elective disciplines established by teachers and students in the
discursive movements made in schools in the constitution of curriculum policy. In this sense,

this study is part of the debate on curriculum policies. Thus, we take as a theoretical-
methodological route, a discursive perspective from the contributions of (LACLAU; MOUFFE,

2015) and (MOUFFE, 2015; 2019), as we move in the mobilization of post-structuralism
references in curricular policies, such as we also subscribe to a discursive approach to curricular
policies, which was based on the studies of (DARDOT; LAVAL, 2016), (BROWN, 2019),
BALL (2016; 2020); (BALL; MAINARDES, 2011), inscribed in post-Marxism to explain how
neoliberalism has profoundly affected the meanings of curriculum today, denying contextual
curriculum policies. In view of this, we realize that neoliberalism resonates in education through
vertical curricular policies, echoing in it through curricular reformulations that disregard the
contextual subjectivities of schools, ignoring their political decisions, as if curricular policy did
not occur through political decisions. and that any political configuration did not happen
through articulations. In this way, neoliberal policies are political decisions established from a
nodal point that seeks to stabilize discourses, identities and subjectivities (LOPES, 2018) from
the idea of quality education, aimed at preparing for the job market. In this sense, our study also
pointed out that the curricular policies in the schools of the agreste have been configured in the
intersections of attendance to neoliberal rationality. Therefore, electives, as Formative
Itineraries, deny contextual truths, as they are linked to the BNCC, constituting the axis of
entrepreneurship in the perspective of developing neoliberal subjectivity from the formative
movements of young entrepreneurs. With this, there is a false idea of curricular flexibility.
