Arpilleras. MAB Pedagogical Fabric. Feminism.
This research project proposes to answer the following question: How does the Chilean
technique arpilleras build the pedagogical fabric of feminist resistance in the Movement of
People Affected by Dams to confront the main human rights violations of affected women?
With the general objective of understanding how the Chilean technique arpilleras builds the
pedagogical fabric of feminist resistance in the Movement of People Affected by Dams for
documentation, it denounces, in a participatory and comprehensive way, the confrontations of
the main violations of the human rights of women affected during the planning processes. ,
construction and operation of dams in Northeast Brazil. In this perspective, the theoretical
framework used mainly is, on the social movements of the countryside in Brazil, Gohn (2010).
On human rights in Brazilian society, Tosi (2005), on human rights and education, Dias (2007),
on human rights and dams, Soares (2019) and MAB (2008,2011,2018). About the decolonial
pedagogies to Alvorado (2014) and Maldonado – Torres (2020) and the documents produced
by MAB (2005,2015,2018). About the women arpillerists of MAB, Benincá (2011) and Freire
(2006), Lima (2018) and MAB (2015). The methodology chosen for the research was the
qualitative approach, exploratory and explanatory, the method to be used will be the extended
case and conducting unstructured interviews with four specific groups from MAB Nordeste and
Ceará.
