UNIVERSITY PUBLISHERS AND ACCESSIBILITY IN THE LIGHT OF LAW 13.146/2015 (Brazilian Law of Inclusion of the Person with Disability)

It is the role of the university publisher to enable the access of society, in the most inclusive way possible, to the academic, technical and scientific intellectual product, originated in it or not, if it can contribute to the improvement of this same society. In this sense, this research aims to evaluate the applicability of art. 68, of Law 13.146/2015 by the Federal Public University Publishers of Brazil in favor of the right of access to reading, information and communication by people with disabilities. This is a descriptive research, with qualitative and quantitative approach, that makes use of bibliographic and documentary research and uses as technique the application of questionnaire. It is expected to contribute with reflections on how the diffusion of accessible digital materials democratizes the access to information and knowledge, especially for People with Disabilities, and represents a relevant measure of social inclusion.
