INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE: INSTRUMENTAL CONTRIBUTION IN THE FIELD OF INFORMATION SCIENCE
Information Architecture; Elements of Information Architecture Analysis; Digital Information Environments; Information Architecture Evaluation Model.
The research aims to contribute to the practical application of information architecture in the evaluation of informational environments, based on its informational and pervasive approaches in Information Science. Therefore, the methodological foundation is based on the quadripolar method. The epistemological pole seeks to discuss the access and use of information in Information and Communication Technologies, in the context of Information Science, in a post-custodial paradigm. The theoretical pole brings the support of the research object through discussions on Information Architecture and its approaches, besides the connection with Information Science. In the technical pole it is explicit the character of an exploratory study, of quali-quantitative nature, with applied research purposes, aligned with bibliometric techniques and systematic review methods (using the Information Science Database - BRAPCI and Scopus), and content analysis. The morphological pole is expected to present the formalization of the proposal of an Information Architecture Evaluation Model oriented to digital information environments, aligned with the literature recommendations and evaluated through the opinion of experts in the field. It is hoped to contribute to a panorama of Information Architecture studies in Information Science, as well as to the improvement of information structuring and retrieval in digital environments.
