Complex systems operating under hazardous conditions require proper approaches to support maintenance planning, in line with requirements for managing the risk of losses in multiple dimensions. In addition, often the architecture of the production system, the operating conditions, or even the work standards may impose some difficulties for the inspection and maintenance of components of a system. Motivated by this scenario, this research proposes a framework to support the maintenance planning of components of complex systems operating under hazardous conditions. The framework includes a multicriteria model to support the classification of the risk level in each system component, considering the impacts that failure events can have on multiple dimensions, namely: financial, human, environmental and operational dimensions.
