SUMMARY:

Advances in digital technologies and the emergence of innovative didactic contributions have shaped scenarios in the educational environment capable of imposing other challenges on pedagogy. These are demands that are no longer concerned with the functional use of digital technologies or with the opportunistic adherence of didactic contributions considered "innovative", but with the singular forms of appropriation. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect on how the teaching subject mobilizes his pedagogical knowledge, his cultural imagination and his questioning sense to dialogue with technologies and forward his didactic strategies. The Cultural Studies apparatus and the idea of technological appropriation were essential to understand how a digital platform used worldwide can meet the unique initiatives of a faculty of a network of private schools in Recife. The Google for Education program is intended to provide a universal educational product, proposing an expansive "technology artifact" with recurring updates. However, the lack of an appropriate digital culture ends up giving rise to a simplified conception, taking it as an "artifact" without a soul, which excessively contradicts recent hermeneutics about technology, such as the assumptions of Bruno Latour, who realize that objects are not devoid of "anime" as the moderns thought. Having said that, how can one raise, among teachers, the perception that these technologies are not simplified extensions of the human body, that is, a "res extensa" (as Descartes assumed)? Indeed, the simple adhesion of the tools available on the Google platform is not enough for the pedagogical field to be renewed, after all, it is necessary for the teacher to review these objects as holders of "soul", as they are part of what Bruno Latour called " sociotechnical network"; revealing, therefore, a scenario where humans and non-humans collaborate in the construction of knowledge". The immersion in the network of private schools located in Recife-PE, considered to be the first school in the Northeast Region to implement a physical learning space linked to the platform Google for Education, was fundamental to the course of participatory research between 2016 and 2019. The purpose of the research was to analyze the cultural, pedagogical and technological implications arising from the implementation of the Google platform in basic education. Specifically, the study aimed to: Implement training cycles focused on breaking technological universalization; Identifying the processes of technological appropriation and didactic application; Mapping evidence of consolidation of a unique and sustainable digital culture from the diffusion of sharing and convergence networks. Data collection took place through field work that was nourished by the interviews, the observations "in loco" and the ad coming from the formative cycles. Therefore, content analysis and polyphonic writing guided the understanding of the results, which show that cultural technology, cartography of controversies, hybrid mediation and digital literacy play an essential role in supporting innovative actions and projects in the school space.
