AREA: Multidisciplinar
SUMMARY:

The research deals with the analysis of the concept of Metabolic Syndrome and its relations with related areas from an interdisciplinary proposal within the scope of undergraduate courses in Biology for the development of a digital technological artifact supported by the theory of complexity. Metabolic Syndrome involves a set of interrelated factors under various aspects such as biological, social and behavioral, which characterizes, per se, an interdisciplinary concept under the look of complexity, perspectives that are consistent with the guidelines of the BNC- Training aligned with the BNCC. According to research, Metabolic Syndrome and underlying concepts have been worked on in prevention and prevalence interventions in schools and universities, carrying out educational programs with actions aimed at health education and some with the use of products, including digital, although incipient for initial training of biology teachers, justifying the proposition. The methodology employed was Design Based Research, which aims to improve educational practices, combining the principles of design and methods with scientific rigor in the creation of diverse products with the participation of multidisciplinary collaborators. From the Game Design Document, a gamified educational software called Sindrômeta was proposed, which, in the process of construction, underwent the screening of expert evaluators regarding the topics: interfaces, narrative, contextualized problem situation and evaluation, in addition to the content in the light of complexity. In the end, it is possible to bring to Sindrômeta the following aspects: interaction between student/teacher and student/artefact; contextual narrative bringing the problem situation in a clear and objective way; feedback from the tools offered on the platform, including minigames; activities at different levels of knowledge and deepening of the contents of biochemistry, physiology and genetics in the bias of complexity. These aspects will enhance it as a didactic product for teaching and learning in Biology undergraduate courses.
