This work proposes an investigation into the aesthetic intentions and development of sound concepts in contemporary films from Recife. The analysis starts from the traces and vestiges of creative processes, such as
interviews, documents, and audio editing software projects, grounded in process criticism and creation as a network proposed by Salles (2008, 2016). The creative and methodological relationships that emerge during film
production, the budgetary conditions of the productions, and how these artists deal with adversities in project development are perceived as relevant factors in the finished works. In addition to the genetic criticism paths, the narrowing between the creation of sound and the dimensions of intensified continuity in sound (Smith, 2013) is presented, based on process documents that evidence creation in Azougue Nazaré (Tiago Melo, 2018) and Fim de Semana no Paraíso Selvagem (Pedro Severino, 2022).
