BLACK CINEMAS AND EDUCATION WITH AUDIOVISUALS, FROM AFRICAN THOUGHT TO THE OUTSKIRTS OF RECIFE
This research stablishes a dialogue between filmmakers and films of Brazilian black cinema and the trajectories of anti-colonial African and Afro-diasporic cinema, in search of pedagogical paths for teaching audiovisual to black youth in the periphery of Brazil. The main hypothesis is that audiovisual education in these outskirts and low-income communities of the country, through the adoption of such filmic references, and therefore, of African and Afro-Brazilian thinking in their teaching methods, can activate the production of an imaginary insurgent black. To this end, education will be treated as a procedural action that is entirely related to the experience of life at the crossroads where black cultures in the world find themselves. It will serve as an experience report for the creation of an anti-racist methodology, the trajectory and methods used by the collective Ficcionalizar, a group of studies and audiovisual production in the outskirts of Recife, a metropolis located in the northeast of Brazil, existing since 2016.
