This work discusses the creative procedures and uses of music production technologies by DJs and music producers in different expressions of Afrodiasporic electronic music in the Global South: funk (Brazil), singeli

(Tanzania), Balani Show (Mali), kuduro and beat ( Angola and Portugal). At an intersection between sound studies, philosophy of technique and raciality, this thesis has as its conceptual epicenter a debate on sonic gambiarras and the artistic processes of these expressions as an epistemology that connects sound, body and technologies, challenging the ideal of modern rationality that divides and opposes body and mind.
