SUMMARY:

This dissertation investigates the developments that arise from the production of self- portraits and self-narratives in the contexto of audiovisual language. By analyzing a set of audiovisual works based on self-narratives, our aim is to shed light on the various paths and visual reconfigurations that emerge in the conception of self-portraits. Along this Journey, we will encompass everything from hybridizations to the concept of visual self-cartography, demonstrating how the audiovisual language becomes a fertile ground for self-expression and self-writing.
