Being resilient to dynamic contexts is one of the main challenges for companies. As decision making is an essential cognitive process for human beings, studies have been carried out allowing the development of different models to assist in the interpretation of multicriteria decision problems. The FITradeoff Method, for example, is a MAVT method, with compensatory rationality, which encompasses the vision of flexible elicitation using partial information. Although real situations involve different shapes for the criteria marginal value functions, in an attempt to simplify the elicitation procedure, several additive methods take into account only linear forms of it in the intra-criteria evaluation. Thus, the present work seeks to develop a preference elicitation procedure for the intra-criteria evaluation step in the FITradeoff method, to elicit the marginal value functions, this way, it would not be necessary to request parameters defined a priori. The proposed procedure is based on the bisection method, however it looks forward to considering partial information from the decision maker. Finally, a practical multi-criteria application is presented and discussed, followed by the main considerations about the benefits of the proposed improvement to the method, as well as suggestions for future studies are listed.
