In the context of daily maintenance, the performers are faced with the demands of activities arising from the maintenance plan, corrective maintenance requests and eventually other services that may arise. Due to the emergence of these daily demands, activities need to go through a selection process in order to define the demands that are relevant and priority, taking into account the organization's objectives. The main issue is around the prioritization process, since there are some factors to be considered for its realization. Generally, the prioritization of asset maintenance activities occurs empirically and with this arises the need to identify methods that can help in this regard. For this reason, the present work uses the multi-criteria decision approach to enable better results and aid decision-making considering the objectives and goals of organizations. The work presents the structuring of two multicriteria models for the problem of prioritizing corrective and preventive maintenance activities in physical assets based on the twelve-step procedure established by de Almeida (2013). The first proposed model seeks to prioritize corrective activities in order to obtain a ranking containing the activities prioritized in a decreasing manner, for which the FITradeoff multicriteria method was used. The second model addresses the prioritization of the set of corrective and preventive activities in order to obtain a portfolio containing the prioritized activities, for this second case the multicriteria method PROMETHEE was used. The models were applied in two different companies located in the state of Pernambuco. The company applying the first model is inserted in the logistical context, carrying out various goods transport to the states of Brazil. The second model was applied in a company in the industrial sector, the most common context regarding maintenance practices. The proposed models motivate the improvement of asset management, thereby obtaining greater competitive advantage, better use of resources, support for decision-making and process improvement based on the proper prioritization of activities.
