SUMMARY:

It presents partial results of the research whose objective is to propose criteria and guidelines, based on the actions of digital curatorship, to guide the creation and management of Accessible Digital Objects produced in the Laboratory of Accessibility of the Central Library (LABC) of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). This is a descriptive research, characterized as to procedures as action research. As research methods, bibliographic and documental research are used, the latter to analyze the legislation pertinent to accessibility, focusing on the disposal of documents in accessible formats. Additionally, actions are outlined on accessible digital objects to ensure their preservation and long-term access, based on the Digital Curation Centre's Digital Curation Life Cycle Model.  As partial considerations we discuss the concepts and aspects of information and digital accessibility contextualized in Information Science; the legislation of accessibility; the dimensions of accessible information; and the construction of repositories of Accessible Digital Objects in the perspective of the actions of Digital Curatorship. We highlight the scarcity of scientific literature that addresses issues related to accessibility in the context of digital curatorship.
