This is a case study of the Recife Law School (RLS) and initiatives in the field of preservation, focusing on actions aimed at recovering the institution's memory. The rationale is based on identifying the memorial and cultural value that RLS holds for the history of Pernambuco, with a keen interest in rescuing and preserving this heritage. The general objective is to analyze the Recife Law School as a space of memory and how its cultural and scientific heritage is preserved and disseminated through projects and initiatives aimed at contributing to the defense of institutional memory. In the specific objectives, it is intended to consider the importance of RLS personalities in the intellectual debates of the 19th century, primarily influenced by the Escola do Recife; discuss RLS as a space of memory and the relevance of this cultural heritage in Pernambuco; identify experiences and collaborations in heritage preservation within the Recife Law School, such as collaborative networks, laboratories, and memory projects; analyze the production and dissemination of information developed by these memory preservation projects at RLS, particularly regarding the use of new information technologies. The methodology is exploratory in nature, with a qualitative approach using archival, periodical, and bibliographic collections. The expected results are expected to make a significant contribution to discussions surrounding the practices of preserving the institutional memory of the Recife Law School, as well as the dissemination of this heritage.
