SUMMARY:

This is a master's qualification report whose theme is about the thematic representation of the work Rainha do Ignoto since literary works carry their own language, connect readers, and help in the processes of informational exchanges. When we look at the perspective of thematic representation, we understand that the author of the work, given the due proportions, creates a metalanguage, and uses linguistic and grammatical symbols to develop a unique terminology for the main character called Funesta. The research question is whether there is a relationship between the thematic representation of the character Funesta and female representation in modernity. In this way, the objective will be to investigate the symbolic relations of the character Funesta, through the construction of conceptual maps and contextualize them with the social vision of the woman. It will be exploratory and descriptive research with the aim of producing a domain map based on the character's conceptual terminology, structured in conceptual maps, with terms taken from the book and properly related to each other.
