VISUAL ATTRACTIVENESS PERCEIVED IN THE HYPER MEDIA ELEMENTS INSTALLED IN THE URBAN LANDSCAPE OF MACEIÓ – AL.
hyper media elements; urban landscape; perceived visual attractiveness
This research project has the general objective of evaluating the visual attractiveness perceived in giant urban equipment installed in the urban landscape of Maceió-AL. It also seeks, more specifically, (i) to identify the main criteria adopted by local residents and tourists to carry out the intended evaluation; (ii) delimit the main nature of these elements in the urban landscape; (iii) examine the effect of the characteristics of complexity, contrast and novelty of the elements taken for study on the two chosen population groups; (iv) analyze whether there is consensus on the main results between these two groups. The Facet Theory was chosen for the research design, which will adopt a free distribution online form as a procedure to collect data, to be analyzed through frequency distribution tables and the multidimensional scaling statistical technique known as Analysis of Facets. SimilarityStructure (Similarity Structure Analysis - SSA), using the computer program HUDAP (Hebrew University Analysis Package). It is expected, from the research design exposed, to be able to respond to the four specific objectives formulated and, therefore, the general objective, aiming to contribute with guiding information for thedesign and installation of hyper media elements by professionals involved such as urban managers, architects/urban planners, designers, visual artists and other producers of the space.
