Agreste Lenticular: Research and Creation in Artistic Supplies, relates experiments in lenticular images with the manifestations of female religiosity in the Agreste Meridional of Pernambuco, based on coexistence with women from the Trapiá community, located in the rural area of the city of Iati (PE). In the first part, the thesis investigates the history of the lenticular image, relating its illusionistic poetics to the iconography of sacred images; presents the main scientists who developed the technique and reflects on access to the processes that involve the raw material. In the second part, the research follows an artistic and ethnographic method, narrating in first person the sacred and profane manifestations of popular Catholicism in Trapiá, presenting the centenary novena of Saint Sebastian, its protagonists and its main participants, describing the prayers, blessed and songs and promoting a critical analysis regarding gender and the common life of rural women. Also in the second part, the thesis reveals the process of creating a series of lenticular images, incorporating the study of the composition of the works and the possibilities of printing using the technique.
