SUMMARY:

The present study perspective, as a basic objective, that of mapping and decoding what we call “Unique Narratives of Dressing” and other elements that constitute its aesthetic languages in two urban areas of two peripheries of the state of Pernambuco. In this panorama, we name the experiences that will be developed as Acts, supported by the use of field research ethnography with the aid of photographic resources to visually illustrate the profuse ways of dressing and the term clothing-communication of the individuals who inhabit such territorial environments. Furthermore, we employ, therefore, a pre-defined methodology of analysis of images proposed through the methodological conjunction of Barros (2015), that is, the image analyzes based on semiotics so that, consequently, we can come to provide even more volume in detail of visual descriptions of the use of fashion artifacts in the peripheries for what our research proposes, in other words, our paradigm. Indeed, the document aims to cement the contents from field research, or immersions, or Acts, in two different peripheral urban terrains of the state of Pernambuco, in a movement from inside to outside the state, sequentially: in the Central Sertão of Pernambuco, in the community of Piquete, located in the city of Salgueiro and, about five hundred and twenty kilometers from it, on the coast, in the community of Jordão, Metropolitan Region of Recife. From this angle, we propose for our study an explicit movement from inside to outside the state so that we can better capture the multiple cultural particularities in the state, the periphery through the perspective of the consumption of fashion artifacts, their symbologies and the universe material and design. Consequently, similar aesthetic nuances, as well as disparate and circumstantial factors characteristic of the peripheries through their particularities and fragile and usual vulnerabilities, in the face of the wilderness in the most diverse political sociocultural spheres in such geographical terrains (what we call invisible beings and geographic bodies , then, who live, survive and resist fixed to the margins). As a result, we envisage demonstrating, through the embroidery of the words of the text, the profusion of ways of dressing, as well as the use of fashion artifacts in the outskirts of the state of Pernambuco, in which these may come to function, identically, as a proficient tool for the conception of a possible genesis of a self-assertion for identity legitimacy, of bodies that tell stories through clothing, of political and activist bodies, thus, dressing in its heterogeneity, revealing oneself and others through artifacts of fashion of individuals in the peripheries that we intend to introduce in our research.
