DRESS AND MEMORY: A STUDY ON WOMEN'S TRADITIONAL DRESS IN CUENTEPEC
Clothing; memory; cuentepec
A Nahua indigenous community in central Mexico called Cuentepec maintains a social and community organization with cultural forms defined as traditional, one of its main characteristics being the preservation of the original female clothing. Analyzing the relationship between the personal image of Cuentepeque women
and their identity, understanding the reasons why the logic of fashion is excluded among some of them and analyzing the meanings surrounding this conservatism in the ways of looking is the intention of carrying out this research. Through a dialectical approach study carried out through bibliographic reviews, an ethnographic research supported by participant observation and interviews, we intend to surround our object of study in order to achieve our objectives.
