SUMMARY:

This research reflects upon and explores the relationship of brazilian literature with the regional in the instance of contemporaneity. To this end, it interweaves theoretical-critical discussions and analyses of contemporary literary works in a multidisciplinary, interpenetrative and potential dialogue. In the literary works that we took as corpus, a total of eight, we noticed that subjectivities are elaborated in the operation of memories, imaginaries and myths triggered in the narratives, and the spaces and the times are indexes of these voices in displacement, mixture and conflict. From this imaginary world related to the affection of the regional on the individual, the survival and the (re)dimensioning of the regional in contemporary brazilian literature is considered. In this universe, we observe that images are traveling, surviving, transforming themselves and the contexts they touch and are touched by, as well as memory, a tool for movement and alchemy, transfiguring the past and the present. With this study, problematizing old definitions and statutes about the regional, we aim to contribute to literary studies, reflecting on the dialogue of literature with the regional in the contemporaneity in the dynamics of the human dimension and with the contribution of the field of the sensitive.
