SUMMARY:

This dissertation sought, through the reconstruction of the trajectories of Jeep workers, to understand the impacts caused by the automaker on the lives of these individuals, especially in the field of labor relations.To this end, we use Bourdesian trajectory analysis as a theoretical-methodological apparatus, which proposes a resumption of the relationship between individual agents and social structures, here, in particular, the interaction between the working class and the world of work.Furthermore, this work, which is a qualitative research, uses data from reports and diagnoses produced by public bodies, such as the Development Perspectives and Opportunities of the Tertiary Sector for the Development Pole of Goiana (Sebrae-PE),and The State of the Art at Polo Jeep, from Automotive Business.Added to these materials are the interviews carried out among Polo workers, in which we were able to glimpse, based on their perception, how work at Jeep develops, what their perceptions are about their activities, the dynamics of the factory, and whatit represents for their personal and professional lives.Based on these, it was possible to identify the introduction of a new working culture, based on factory values of individualization and flexibility of social and work relations, and which are in opposition to other work cultures present in the territory, artisanal fishing and the food industry.sugar cane.
