Digital transformation emerges as an instrument for the materialization of innovation, representing the technological expression as a source of promoting both organizational changes, within the scope of the company's internal processing, and sociocultural changes, when they foster the structuring of new parameters of "relationship" between "customer -company"; “partner-company”; “company-product” and “company-form of business”. It is precisely by observing this “reformulation” in the way of doing and seeing business that the importance of this work lies, which analyzed the process of digital transformation of the company Magazine Luiza, seeking to: understand the economic valuation of digital markets; examine the digital structure of a large retail company; to identify the parameters and stages necessary for the digital transformation and, finally, the implications of this process in terms of privacy, security, consumption and accountability of (over) data. The methodological construction of the text was based on an exploratory research, carried out through a survey of official economic reports released by the legal entity; descriptive research of the retailer's digital building elements and bibliographic survey of the parameters. Based on this research, it was possible to identify the general elements necessary for Magazine Luiza's digital transformation, as a way of assuming a parameterization of the retail transformation process.
