SUMMARY:

The Clothing Cluster of Agreste de Pernambuco is nationally recognized as an
important productive hub in the textile sector, and has great potential for economic
development for the region. The sector employs thousands of workers, generating
income and social development. Based on the concepts of consumer vulnerability and
financial well-being, this study proposes to understand the relationship between the
theories and the credit consumption of young clothing entrepreneurs in the Agreste
Pernambucano APL. In the first phase of data collection, twelve individual, face-to-face
and semi-structured interviews were carried out with young entrepreneurs. After
transcription, the data were organized and a content analysis was performed. The
results show that, given the consumption of credit, some strategies used by young
entrepreneurs lead them to a situation of vulnerability and also affect their financial
well-being. VC can be directly related to your BEF , as when a consumer is vulnerable,
they may be more likely to make bad financial decisions, be tricked or exploited by
unscrupulous companies and end up getting into excessive debt or getting into
financial difficulties and this can lead to a vicious cycle of debt and financial problems,
significantly affecting their financial well-being. The research also points out
transformative propositions for the consumer environment that can help organizations
in how to act in situations of consumer vulnerability.
