The research aims to understand the management practiced by women in the Handicraft Fair of Caruaru-PE, from an intersectional perspective. For this, the theory of everyday practices will be used, in order to denaturalize phenomena, contradicting universal models considered correct by the mainstream in management, since a large part of local businesses do not meet the rational-instrumental managerial logic, widely recognized in Administration. In this way, it is possible to produce knowledge based on the local reality, based on the context and existing power relations. This analysis will be carried out from an intersectional perspective, understood as the articulation of categories associated with the identification or differentiation between individuals. And, more than that, considering that power relations, inherent to differences, can build social exclusion and asymmetry. Both the notions of everyday management practices and the notions of intersectionality are in accordance with the peripheral context in which the research was developed. The collection of information was carried out from semi-structured interviews with business managers at the Handicraft Fair Caruaru-PE, participant observations and records through photographs and videos. To analyze the results, narrative analysis was used, considering that the narratives give liveliness to the practices. Some tactical practices and strategies were identified, from the perspective of Michel de Certeau, among them: the transmission of knowledge and business to successors; the financial planning and control performed mentally; meals in establishments; the production of handicrafts within the physical space of the business; making trips in search of goods that are not common in local businesses. Regarding the intersectional analysis, among other points, discrimination and inequalities were perceived as a result of the intersection between age group and gender; gender, social class and education; gender and physical characteristics; and schooling and generation.
