SUMMARY:

Considering a robot as a multifunctional device designed to perform an immense variety of tasks, and robotics as the science that studies the technologies associated with the conceptions and constructions of robots, we can easily identify that these two concepts are immensely inserted in the current development of society. as a whole, therefore, the need to use them with the aim of contributing to the teaching and learning process, especially in mathematics, becomes evident. The objective of this study was to systematize a methodological proposal for the use of Educational Robotics (Rob-Ed) in the teaching of Mathematics from the panorama and scenario of this theme in the Brazilian scientific literature, through the catalog of theses and dissertations of Capes and the Library Digital of Theses and Dissertations BDTD. For this, we carried out a horizontal mapping, an exploratory-descriptive study, to outline an overview of the scientific production on the subject of Educational Robotics. This panorama was fundamental to identify who produced (theses and dissertations), where and when, in addition to the evolution of this scientific production and its distribution by region and institutions. Then, we carried out vertical mapping, an analytical study, to investigate the specific scenario of using Rob-Ed in the context of teaching Mathematics. Based on these studies, we identified theoretical and methodological trends, making it possible to understand the different contexts of study and research on Rob-Ed. Finally, based on these results, we were able to advance in the elaboration of a theoretical-methodological framework as a proposal for the use of Rob-Ed combined with the resolution of open problems as a methodology for teaching Mathematics.
