SUMMARY:

This dissertation work is in the multipaper format (collection of articles); was developed within the scope of the Graduate Program in Science and Mathematics Education, at the Federal University of Pernambuco, Centro Acadêmico do Agreste. We aimed to analyze the mathematics curriculum of multigrade schools of multigrade education in the countryside of the municipal network of São Caetano-PE, and its relationship with the perspective of Ethnomathematics and Rural Education. To achieve this objective, we developed three articles, which interrelate within our general research theme “Ethnomathematics and Rural Education”. In the methodology of article I, we consider Maria Salett Biembengut's approach to mapping in educational research; as well as the characteristics of mapping in the vertical and horizontal structure, by José Dilson Beserra Calvancanti; we collected data, through a survey of works, in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) and in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations - CAPES. In the methodology of article II, we considered the qualitative approach of a documentary nature, in which we collected data both from the source of the Pernambuco Curriculum, through online access, and from other sources that deal with the research theme. In the methodology of article III, we consider theoretical research. Among the results we had, we found that the municipal network of São Caetano-PE currently takes as a reference the curricular proposal of the generalized curriculum; and in general, there is currently a development of Ethnomathematics in Rural Education, in curricular perspectives, only in theory; and in theory we did not identify an example of practice of development of Ethnomathematics in Rural Education, in curricular perspectives by school communities in the Brazilian countryside.
