SUMMARY:

The concerns present in the contemporaneity in the face of what evidences a
more effective look towards the practices and conceptions of teachers and the
questions that refer to debates on the sexuality of people with disabilities
provoked the investigation from a research problem by questioning us about the
existence of a robust theoretical foundation, analyzing the manifestation of
sexuality of people with disabilities at school from analyzes built on theses and
dissertations, taking our desire to identify at the level of postgraduate works the
meeting with possible investigations that enhance this place of knowledge
production. Given this aspect, this research aimed to understand, from the
studies of theses and dissertations, with a view to mapping and interpreting how
these studies developed in Brazil point to clues for works on the topic of our
research concern. From a qualitative research approach, we took as a
methodology the bibliographic analysis. In order to arrive at the theses and
dissertations, which for us were important documents to identify contributions
from investigations that made investments in the direction of knowledge
production on the researched topic, we defined the BDTD page as the place,
source of data search. Among the various possibilities, the survey pointed out 5
(five) studies that establish a relationship with our research question and the
objectives of our investigation. In order to better understand the development of
the writing of these defined works, we separated the analysis into categories of
chronological distribution, region of Brazil and education of the authors, by the
type of research and by the conclusions. It was possible to identify that within the
circle of students with disabilities the topic of sexuality is still little talked about by
parents, so this topic still reflects, sometimes reinforces, the idea of taboo,
challenging the overcoming of limiting thoughts that end up stating that it's the
parents' or the school's fault, as they infantilize the body seen as deficient, loaded
with prejudice, which in turn is reinforced by the society in which they live. The
considerations of these studies also point to the hegemony in the thinking of the
biomedical model when it comes to people with disabilities, which may be
preventing the development of debates on the manifestations of sexuality in this
public, pointing in another direction when we need practices and conceptions.
that are urgent and can be re-signified from social and biopsychosocial models,
strengthening to follow as a reference to the proposal of inclusive education and
its strengthening in the space of schools that recognize bodies in their diverse
human dignity.
