Liquid modernity; Take care of yourself; Nursing; College
education
From graduation to the current moment of professional practice, many questions
permeated the development of this researcher, nurse and professor. The
Master's course revealed the possibility of discussing the care of nurses with
others and with themselves under the light of the Philosophy of Difference.
Through this research, it was possible to map nursing professors, participants in
the construction of new nurses, and their perceptions about self-care in
educational practice, despite the socio-cultural hyperactivism caused by liquid
modernity. In this complex network of inquiries, the general objective was to
investigate the possible relationships between liquid modernity and self-care in
the teaching practice of nursing professors at a university center in Pernambuco.
In the methodological path of the research, we opted for a methodology that
allowed bringing to the field of study multiple statements and lines of visibility,
through the cartography of human subjectivity, entering existential territories in
search of subjectivity. There was no intention of making generalizations or finding
absolute/unique answers to the questions, as the researchers of this work are still
in the process of becoming, and wanted a rhizomatic research. However, it was
perceived to be relevant that the educator becomes an active subject of their
practices and, for this, they will be able to enter, know themselves and seek to be
able to govern themselves and the other, that is, the student, being able to make
their classes fertile ground for agency and reciprocity among their students.
