PAGES: 181
BIG AREA: Ciências Humanas
AREA: Educação
SUMMARY:

The present research aimed, from the use of Comics as a didactic resource, the teaching and learning of Chemistry concepts, considering the precepts of Lev Vygotsky's Learning Theory and the construction of critical thinking, from the identification, discussion and elucidation of Fake News disseminated in the COVID-19 pandemic period, in the bias of Critical Media Theory, proposed by Douglas Kellner. Thus, as a general objective, the proposal is to analyze the learning of scientific concepts and the development of a critical view of the media, based on a didactic strategy based on the use of Comics to combat Fake News about COVID-19. In this sense, we developed a didactic sequence divided into 5 stages, which took place in eight classes of 50 minutes each. The data obtained were analyzed based on two categories constructed by us, related to the theoretical frameworks that supported our study. Based on the data analysis, we observed that the objectives were achieved, based on the two categories that we built, and we concluded that the approach with Comics, in addition to making the approach in the classroom more dynamic, facilitates the contextualization of the material world with the conceptual.
