SUMMARY:

This research has as its object of study the gender identities and non-hegemonic orientations of desire in the teaching of History. Faced with the silencing of these social actresses and actors in the school’s historical narrative , the research aimed to investigate on which epistemological bases are anchored the issues of gender and sexualities about these insurgent subjectivities. It was proposed to theoretically recover the historical-critical path of the gender category, having as a guideline the destabilization of the subject of feminism and the tensions implied in the transfeminist theoretical-political construction; identify and analyze the disputes of narratives related to gender issues and desire orientations in the socio-historical trajectory of comic books (comics), in addition to preparing a transfeminist didactic proposal in a comic book format marked with guidelines for teaching practice. A qualitative bibliographical research was developed, intended to answer how the teaching of History can contribute to the process of construction of the identity’s self-assertion of students with gender identities and non-hegemonic desire orientations through the transfeminist theoretical framework anchored in the works of JESUS ( 2014), NASCIMENTO (2020) and OLIVEIRA (2018). As main results, gaps between advances in gender studies in the academic space and even in historiography were highlighted, in contrast to the regulatory apparatus of the state and the teaching practice that maintains the cisheterocentered, colonialist and excluding school historical narrative. As a propositional part, a transfeminist didactic proposal was elaborated in HQ, starring Xica Manicongo, considered the first Brazilian transvestite. Based on theoretical, political and aesthetic subsidies, the proposal aims to contribute to educators and students, through the mobilization of a comic book narrative, with an adapted script and illustrations of trans and transvestite women and a didactic supplement, in which categories of analysis relating to transfeminist and gender studies were problematized, in addition to the historical investigation method.
