HIGH-GAIN SOFT-SWITCHING DC-DC CONVERTER WITH REDUCED AVERAGE EXCITATION CURRENT CONDUCTION LOSSES.
DC-DC Converter. High gain. Reduced losses in the Core. ZVS. ZCS.
This work proposes a new DC-DC converter topology based on SEPIC with a voltage multiplier cell that uses a two-winding coupled inductor associated with switched capacitors operating with soft switching on all semiconductors. In this converter, the secondary contributes to static gain and also conducts positive average current, which causes injection of a DC component into the magnetization current. This component reduces the oscillation amplitude of the magnetizing current required for zero voltage switching (ZVS) on the main switch, reducing losses in the core and maximizing the use of the core to increase gain. The auxiliary switch also operates with ZVS while all diodes operate with resonance and block at zero current (ZCS).
